Fort Wayne Metals

DFT® wire

DFT® wire (Drawn Filled Tubing) allows you to match dissimilar materials to provide a variety of properties in a single wire system. Most commonly, the outer sheath of the composite provides strength while the core material is used to provide conductivity, radiopacity, resiliency, or MRI enhancement. While most DFT® wire we produce is constructed of a core and a single sheath, we can also combine multiple outer layers if your application requires it.
