At Fort Wayne Metals, we take pride in working with a wide range of materials from stainless steel and Cobalt-Chrome to Titanium and Nitinol. But we take even more pride in the deep understanding we have for these materials – our understanding helps us to better improve our materials so that they work in your most challenging applications.
Take ASTM F562 materials. Not only do we routinely work with MP35N® – we also co-developed 35N LT®, providing a significant improvement in fatigue life. We have developed a proprietary way of drawing titanium to yield cleaner wire with a better surface. And we have invested millions in a melt facility in order to become the world’s first Nitinol melt source dedicated to the needs of medical device manufacturers.
