DBS® Wire

DBS® (Drawn Brazed Strand) is a stranded wire which encompasses a core wire made from a softer, highly conductive material, such as silver. The wire is then brazed and drawn in the normal wire drawing process. Since some of the core material is forced to the surface of the composite during the brazing process, DBS® has to be coated for biocompatibility. We'll put our technical expertise to work for you to fulfill your stranding needs, so please contact us.

Features:
  • High conductivity
  • Great solderability
  • Good strength properties
  • Allows for greater stresses in strands and cable applications
  • Core wire sizes allow for adjustments with the final Silver content between 20-25%
Uses:
  • Wire
  • Strands
  • Cables
  • Pacemaker leads
  • High fatigue applications
  • Applications requiring solderability
