Tungsten - stronger, more flexible cable

This high tensile strength, high modulus wire provides good electrical conductivity and mechanical performance. Tungsten can be utilized in a variety of applications that require complex strands and cables with the highest strength and longest life, such as minimally invasive surgical devices or articulating systems that undergo high loads and severe bending.

Utilizing tungsten generally yields a 45% increase in axial cable breakload over that of 304V. Common constructions use 200 to 700 wires in 0.5 mm [0.02 in].
