FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Fort Wayne Metals, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality precision wire, was named one of the best places to work in Indiana in the large-sized company category by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Thirty-six companies throughout Indiana were honored in the Chamber’s first annual “Best Places to Work in Indiana†program. Fort Wayne Metals was one of only three companies from Fort Wayne to receive the honor, and the only one from Fort Wayne in the large-sized company category, which lists companies with over 200 employees.
“We were thrilled with this prestigious honor,†said Scott Glaze, chief executive officer, Fort Wayne Metals. “It speaks volumes about the environment we create for our employees. We believe a valued worker is a more productive worker and our practices and employee programs mirror that philosophy.â€
The Indiana Chamber’s new program honors the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Winners were selected from two categories: small to medium-sized companies of between 25 and 199 employees, and large-sized companies consisting of 200 or more employees. The actual rankings of the top Hoosier companies will be announced at the Best Places to Work Awards luncheon on May 3 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis.
