Strands and cables to Nitinol product line.

Fort Wayne Metals has added strands and cables to its Nitinol product line which already includes round, shaped and flat wire drawn onto spools or straightened and cut to length.

Popular strands (which are produced by twisting a number of wires around a core wire) are the 1 x 3 and 1 x 7 using individual Nitinol wire diameters as small as 0.001" and up to and including 0.021".

Cables are produced by stranding several strands of wire together. A cable consisting of seven 1 x 7 strands would be referred to as a 7 x 7 cable. We can manufacture finished Nitinol cable sizes from 0.003" up to and including 0.041".
