Fort Wayne Metal's precision ground rod and bar products are available in diameters ranging from 0.040" to 0.500", with select alloys ranging up to 0.472" (12mm) . Our tight tolerance machining applications reduce tolerances to ±0.00015". Additional capabilities include diamond drawn surfaces with finishes to 5 Ra, custom lengths up to 150", wire cutting down to 0.020", end chamfering, spooled wire, as well as strands and cables.

Alloy Information

Fort Wayne Metals has a long history in optimizing alloys for the dental implant industry. Alloys are selected for corrosion resistance, fatigue, strength and biocompatibility. The following alloys are commonly used in dental implant applications and include cobalt-based, titanium alloys, CP titanium, implant-grade stainless steel and instrumentation-grade stainless steel.
